Double Chocolate Sand Cookies in a Jar:
1/2c. sugar, 1/2c. rolled oats, 1/2c. M&M's, 1/2c. packed brown sugar, 1 1/4c. all purpose flour, 1/2tsp. baking
powder, 1/2tsp. salt, 1/2c. crisp rice cereal, 1/2c. chocolate chips.
In a 1 quart or 1 liter jar layer the ingredients in the order given. Lightly pack down the jar after each
addition. Attach a card with the following instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a cookie sheet.
Empty the entire contents of the jar into a medium bowl. Add 1 large egg and 1/4c. melted margarine; mix
well. Form dough into 1 inch balls and bake for 10-12 minutes in the preheated oven. Makes about 2 dozen
cookies.
Dreamsicle Drink Mix:
Jar Ingredients: 1/4 cup sugar, red food coloring, yellow food coloring.
Mix: 1/3 cup powdered coffee creamer, 1/2 cup dry milk, 1/4 cup powdered sugar, 1/3 cup orange srink mix,
1 cup marshmallows (orange and white).Mix the sugar and the food coloring until its the shade of orange
you desire, a few drops should work fine. Place the orange and white marshmallows in a ziplock bag (small
one to fit inside the top of the jar). Layer in a pint size jar in the following order:. orange colored sugar. 1/2
the milk mixture. orange drink mix. remaining milk mixture. mini marshmallows. There are 3 recipes you can
attach to the jar.
Dreamsicle Warmer: Remove bag of marshmallows from jar and set aside. Empty mix into a large bowl and
mix together. Place mix back into jar or other container. Place 3T mix into a cup and add 1 C of boiling water.
Stir until mixture is dissolved- top with marshmallows.
Dreamsicle Cooler: Place in blender. 1/3 C drink mix. 8 ice cubes. 1 C milk. Blend until ice is crushed.
Dreamsicle Shake: Place 1 scoop of soft vanilla ice cream and 1 C milk into a quart jar. Add 1/3 C drink mix.
Place lid on the jar and shake, shake, shake!
French Vanilla Cocoa:
10 1/2 cups non fat powdered milk, 4 cups powdered sugar, 2 (8 ounce) jars french vanilla flavored coffee
creamer, 3 1/2 cups powdered chocolate milk mix, 2 3/4 cups non dairy powdered coffee creamer, 1/2 tsp.
salt.
Combine all ingredients and ladle into jars. Cover tightly. Attach the following directions on a gift tag:
French Vanilla Cocoa: Stir 3 heaping tablespoons of cocoa mix into hot water or milk.
M&M's Cookies:
1 1/4 cups sugar, 1 1/4 cups plain M&M's candies, 2 cups all purpose flour, 1/2 tsp. baking soda and baking
powder.
Mix baking soda and baking powder with flour.so you can add flour mixture into one layer. Layer ingredients
in order given into a wide-mouth. Press each layer firmly so it will all fit in the jar. Attach these instructions
to your gift. INSTRUCTIONS. Empty jar of cookie mix into large mixing bowl.Use your hands to thoroughly
blend mix. Add 1 stick butter or margarine, very soft. (please do not use diet). 1 large egg, slightly beaten,
and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Mix until completely blended. you will need to finish mixing with your hands as this
is stiff. Shape into balls the size of walnuts. Place 2" apart on sprayed cookie sheet. Bake in preheated 375°
for 12-14 minutes until edges are lightly browned. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet. Remove cookies to
racks to finish cooling.
Jolly Holiday Cookies:
1/4 cup sugar, 1/2 cup packed brown sugar, 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour, 3/4 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 cup white
chocolate chips, 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 cup each of red and green M&M's, quick cooking oats and
chocolate flavored crisp rice cereal.
Layer the ingredients in a one quart wide mouth jar.in the order listed. Pack down each layer firmly. tighten
the lid -- attach the instructions -- INSTRUCTIONS: Cream together 1/2 cup butter, one tsp vanilla extract and
one large egg in a mixing bowl -- Add cookie mix, stirring well until well blended. Drop by tspful on
ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350* for 10-12 minutes.
Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies in a Jar:
1c. all purpose flour, 1/2tsp. baking powder, 1/2tsp. baking soda, 1 1/4c. rolled oats, 5 1/2oz. chocolate bars,
1/2c. sugar, 1/2c. brown sugar, 1/2c. chopped nuts, 1/2c. chocolate chips.
Use a funnel that has a two inch opening to layer nicely in a jar. With wire whisk mix flour, baking powder
and baking soda. Pour into jar, pack down level with heavy object. Mix oatmeal in a blender, Grate
chocolate bar and mix into the oatmeal. Pack on top of flour in jar. Add sugar and pack down. Add brown
sugar and pack down. Layer chopped nuts on top of brown sugar. Finisj layering jar with chocolate chips
until even with top. No more than 1/2c. Attach following recipe: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spoon
chocolate chips and nuts into small bowl and set aside. Spoon brown and white sugar into mixing bowl, add
1/2c. margarine or butter, cream well. Add 1 egg and 1/2tsp. vanilla, mix well. Pour oatmeal and flour mixture
from jar into bowl, mix throughly. Roll into walnut size balls, place on slightly greasaed cookie sheet 2
inches apart. Bake fro 8-10 minutes. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Mix in a Jar:
1c. all purpose flour, 1tsp. cinnamon, 1/2tsp. nutmeg, 1tsp. baking soda, 1/2tsp. salt, 3/4c. raisins, 2c. rolled
oats, 3/4c. packed brown sugar, 1/2c. sugar.
Combine flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda and salt; set aside. In a 1 quart wide mouth jar layer
ingredients in the following order: flour mixture, raisins, rolled oats, brown sugar, sugar (Tight squeeze so
make sure you firmly pack each layer. Attach a tag with these instructions: Oatmeal Raisin Spice Cookies:
Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Empty jar of cookie mix into a large bowl, mix together throughly.
Add in 3/4c. softened butter or margarine, stir in one beaten egg and 1tsp. vanilla. Mix until well blended.
Shape into walnut sized balls. Place on parchment lined cookie sheets 2 inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees
for 11-13 minutes or until edges are browned. Cool 5 minutes on cookie sheets, transfer cookies to wire
rack to finish cooling. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
Peanut Butter Cup Cookies Mix in a Jar:
3/4c. sugar, 1/2c. packed brown sugar, 1 1/3c. all purpose flour, 1tsp. baking powder, 1/2tsp. baking soda, 8
peanut butter cups (0.7oz. cut into 1/2 inch pieces)
Mix together the flour, baking powder and baking soda. Set aside. Layer ingredients in order given in a 1
quart wide mouth canning jar. Press each layer firmly in place. (It will be a tight fit.) Add chopped peanut
butter cups last. Attach these directions to jar: Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Cookies: Remove peanut butter
cups from jar, set aside. Empty remaining cookie mix into large mixing bowl. Use your hands to throughly
blend mix. Add 1/2c. butter or margarine, softened to room temperature. (DO NOT USE DIET MARGARINE)
Add in 1 egg slightly beaten, add 1tsp. vanilla. Mix until completely blended. You will need to finish mixing
with your hands. Mix in peanut butter cups. Shape into walnut sized balls. Place 2 inches apart on greased
cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 12-14 minutes until edges are lightly browned. Cool 5 minutes on
baking sheet. Remove cookies to racks to finish cooling. Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
Potato Soup Mix in a Jar:
2c. instant mashed potatos, 1 3/4c. powdered milk, 2Tbs. instant chicken bouillon or vegetable bouillon
granules, 2tsp. dried onion flakes, 1tsp. dried parsley, 1/2tsp. garlic powder, 1/4tsp. white pepper, 1/4tsp
dried thyme, 1 1/2tsp. seasoning salt.
In a medium bowl mix dry ingredients well and pour into a 1 quart jar. Seal and attach: Place 1/2c. soup mix
in a bowl. Add 1c. boiling water and stir to smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Makes 1 jar.
Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Cookies:
3/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup packed brown sugar, 1 3/4 cup flour mixed with 1 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. baking
soda, 8 large Reese peanut butter cups cut into 1/2 inch pieces.
Layer ingredients in jar in order given. Press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient.
Attach this recipe to the jar: Reese's Peanut Butter Cups Cookies. Remove candies from jar and set aside.
Empty cookie mix into a large mixing bowl; stir to combine. Add 1/2 cup softened butter, 1 slightly beaten
egg and 1teaspoon vanilla extract; mix until completely blended. Stir in candies. Roll dough into walnut-size
balls. Place 2 inches apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F for 12 to 14 minutes or
until edges are lightly browned. Cool for 5 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to wire racks to cool
completely.
Rice in a Jar 4 Versions:
Onion Rice Mix:
2 cups uncooked white rice, 1 envelope onion soup mix, 1 tsp. dried parsley, 1/2 tsp. salt.
Lemon Dill Rice Mix:
2 cups white rice, 3 tsp. bottled dried lemon peel, 2 tsp. dried dill, 1 tsp. dried chives, 1 tsp. salt, 4 tsp.
chicken bouillion powder.
Vegetable Rice Mix:
2 cups white rice, 4 tsp. vegetable bouillion powder, 1 tsp. salt, 2 tsp. dried celery flakes, 2 tsp. onion
flakes, 2 tsp. green pepper flakes, 2 tsp. red bell pepper flakes.
Spanish Rice Mix:
2 cups white rice, 1/4 tsp. green bell pepper flakes, 2 tsp. parsley flakes, 2 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. dried basil.
FOR EACH TYPE OF RICE MIX: Mix together all ingredients. Divide in half and store in tightly closed plastic
bags or jars with tight-fitting lids. Each package or jar should contain approximately 1 cup plus 3 Tbs of rice
mixture. Wrap with a colorful ribbon or decorate however you like.
Snickerdoodle Coffee Mix:
1 cup sugar, 1 cup powdered milk, 1/2 cup vanilla flavored non dairy powdered coffee creamer, 1/2 cup
cocoa, 3 Tbs. instant coffee crystals, 1/2 tsp. allspice, 1 tsp. cinnamon.
Combine all the ingredients together; store in airtight containers. Instructions: add 3 tablespoons coffee
mix to 3/4 cup boiling water; stir to dissolve.
Sugar Free Hot Chocolate:
3 cups nonfat dry milk powder, 1 cup Splenda, 1/2 cup cocoa, 1 (1 ounce) package fat free sugar free instant
vanilla pudding mix.
Mix all ingredients together. Store in airtight container.
Supreme Cocoa Mix:
4 cups non fat dry milk powder, 1 1/2 cups sugar, 1 cup non dairy coffee creamer, 2/3 cup unsweet cocoa
powder, 1 (4 ounce) package instant chocolate fudge pudding mix.
Place all ingredients in large bowl. Stir together with a wire whisk. Place mix in a sifter and sift to make a
really fine powder. This really make sure everything is really combined. Store in a sealed container. Add 1/2
cup of mix to an 8oz. mug and fill with hot water. Add more or less mix depending on your taste.
Walnut Cinnamon Balls:
Mix: 3/4 cup powdered sugar, 3 cups flour, 1 cup finely chopped walnuts, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. cinnamon.
Preparation Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups butter softened, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 cup powdered sugar.
*Mix instructions*. In large bowl, combine all ingredients, stirring until thoroughly mixed. Fill 1 quart jar with
mixture, packing down as necessary to fit into jar. Place lid on jar. *Preparation Instructions to place on jar*.
Preheat oven to 325°F. Place butter and vanilla in large bowl and beat on low speed. Add jar contents, a
little at a time, beating after each addition. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased cookie
sheet 2 inches apart. Bake for 13- 15 minutes. Cool for 1 minute and transfer to cooling rack. Cool for
additional 10 minutes and roll in powdered sugar to coat.
White Chocolate Brownie Mix:
Mix: 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour, 1 tsp. baking powder and salt, 2/3 cup cocoa, 2 1/4 cups sugar, 1/2 cup
chopped pecans, 1/2 cup white chocolate chips.
To Prepare Brownies: 3/4 cup softened butter, 4 eggs slightly beaten. Layering Dry Mix: Combine the flour,
baking powder and salt. Place mix into a quart jar. Layer the remaining ingredients into jar in order listed,
packing firmly after each addition. Tip for packing jar: Use a tart tamper or bulb end of a baster to pack the
layers. Adjust cap, decorate with fabric rounds, ribbon and gift tag. To Prepare Brownies:. Preheat oven to
350 degrees. Place the contents of jar in a large mixing bowl and mix to blend. Add the butter and eggs
mixing until completely blended. Spread into a lightly greased 9 x 9 inch pan. Bake for 35 minutes or until
brownies just begin to pull away from the sides of the pan. Cut into squares and serve.
White Chocolate Macadamia Cookies:
1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts, 1/2 cup white chocolate chips, 1/2 cup light brown sugar packed, 2 cups
bisquick, 1/2 cup dark brown sugar packed.
layer first 3 ingredients in a one quart wide mouth jar, firmly pack each layer -- layer one cup biscuit mix,
dark brown sugar and remaining biscuit mix -- add more chopped macadamia nuts or white chocolate chips
to any remaining space. secure lid and attach instructions. INSTRUCTIONS:. Pour mix into a medium mixing
bowl, add 1/2 cup melted butter, one large egg, and 1 tsp vanilla extract -- mix well.
Shape dough into 1" balls.arrange on greased baking sheet. Bake at 375* till golden about 10-12 minutes.
