Milkshake and Smoothie Recipes

Banana, Blueberry and Maple Smoothie:
2 ripe bananas peeled and chopped, 1 cup frozen blueberries, 4 scoops vanilla ice cream, 2 cups chilled
milk, 2 Tbs. maple syrup.
Place the banana, blueberries, ice-cream, milk & maple syrup in a blender & blend until smooth.
Pour among serving glasses top with extra blueberries and drizzle with a little extra maple syrup.
Serve immediately.
Banana Milk Shake:
2 bananas, cut up, 1/3 c. lemon juice, 1 c. water, 1 can Eagle Brand milk, 2 c. crushed ice.
In blender combine bananas, lemon juice, water and milk. Blend well. Add ice, blending until smooth.
Banana Split Smoothie:
2 medium ripe bananas, 1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple drained, 1 1/2 cups milk, 1/2 cup unsweetened
strawberries fresh or frozen, 2 Tbs. honey, 5 ice cubes, whipped topping, chocolate syrup, and cherries for
garnish.
In a blender, combine the first five ingredients; cover and process until smooth. Gradually add ice,
blending until slushy. Pour into chilled glasses. Garnish with whipped topping, chocolate syrup and
cherries.
Berry Banana Smoothie:
1 cup vanilla yogurt, 1 medium ripe banana peeled cut into chunks and frozen, 1/4 cup frozen unsweet
strawberries, 1/4 cup each frozen blueberries, raspberries and blackberries, 1 cup milk.
In a blender or food processor, combine all ingredients; cover and process until smooth.
Pour into chilled glasses; serve immediately.
Black Forest Float:
1 scoop chocolate ice cream, 12 ounces cherry cola, whipped cream, cherries for garnish (opional).
Place ice cream in the bottom of a large glass. slowly pour cola over ice cream, careful not to let it overflow.
top with Whipped Cream and cherry. Enjoy.
Chocolate and Vanilla Smoothie:
2c. chocolate icecream or yougurt, 1c. vanilla yogurt, 1/2c. milk, 1/2tsp. vanilla.
Place all in blender, mix till almost smooth. Serves 2.
Chocolate Banana Shake:
1 1/2 cups milk, 1 banana, 2 Tbs. cocoa, ice cream to thicken.
Put all ingredients into blender. Blend. put into glasses.
Chocolate Candy Bar Shake:
1 (14 ounce) can sweet condensed milk, 2 cups chocolate ice cream, 2 (2-3 ounce) Twix, Milky Ways or
Reese's candy, 2 cups ice cubes.
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses; serve immediately.
Chocolate Mallow Shake:
2 Tbs. cocoa, 1/3 cup boiling water, 3/4 cup mini marshmallows, 3 cups milk, 2 scoops vanilla ice cream,
marshmallows to garnish.
Combine pure cocoa, water and marshmallows in a small bowl stir until dissolved.
Blend or process chocolate mixture with milk and icecream until thick and frothy. Serve with the extra mini
marshmallows.
Four Fruit Smoothie:
1c. strawberries. 1 banana, 30 grapes, 1/2c. raspberries, 1 1/2c. crushed ice.
Add the first 4 ingredients to blender. Mix on light blend off and on for 1 minute. Add the crushed ice. Mix
on light blend off and on for 1 minute. Makes 2 servings.
Frosty Lemon Drink:
3/4 cup lemonade concentrate, 1/2 cup non fat dry milk powder, 1/3 cup sugar, 3/4 cup cold water, 1/8 tsp.
almond extract, 16-18 ice cubes, 3 drops yellow food coloring (optional).
In a blender, combine the first five ingredients; cover and process on high until blended.
Add ice cubes, a few at a time; cover and process until slushy. Add food coloring if desired. Serve
immediately.
Fruity Berry Slush:
5 frozen whole strawberries unsweetened, 1 cup frozen blueberries, 1 (6 ounce) can frozen orange juice
concentrate, 1/2 cup sliced peaches drained, 1/2 cup sugar, 3/4 cup water, 2 Tbs. lemon juice.
Place all ingredients in a food processor or blender. Cover and process until smooth. Pour into chilled
glasses and serve immediately. Enjoy! Makes 4 servings.
Healthy and Delicious Orange Smoothie:
1 orange, 1/4c. real lemon juice, 1/3c. crushed ice, 1/4c. milk, sugar to taste.
Peel the orange, including the white part. Cut the orange in half and put it in the blender. Add the ice, milk,
and sugar. Blend well. Makes 1-2 servings. (This is one of our favorite drinks. Although the lemon juice
tends to sink to the bottom of the glass, all you do is stir it a little.)
Lime Slushie:
2 (3 ounce) packages lime gelatin, 2 cups boiling water, 2 cups cold water, 2 quarts lime sherbert, 3 cups
chilled ginger ale.
In a freezer container, dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir in the cold water and sherbert until combined.
Freeze for 4 hours or until set. Remove from the freezer 45 minutes before serving. For each serving,
place 1 cup of slush mixture in a glass; add about 1/3 cup ginger ale.
